Como habrán visto en nuestras redes, llevo unos meses viviendo en Londres y como muchos me han preguntado qué estoy haciendo aquí, hoy les voy a contar un poquito.
El año pasado terminé mi carrera en Estudios Ingleses (lo que era antes Filología Inglesa), así que siempre me ha gustado todo lo inglés, por eso tenía claro que quería venirme desde hacía tiempo. Además, también quería dedicar mi vida a la moda y seguir formándome, así que decidí que hacer un Máster en moda en mi ciudad favorita era la mejor opción!
As you may have seen on our social networks I've been living in London for some months and, as some of you have asked me what I'm doing here, so I'm going to talk a bit about it.
Last year, I finished my BA in English Studies (Language and Literature), so I've always loved English stuff, that's why I always wanted to come. Also, I wanted to dedicate my life to fashion and keep studying, then I decided that the best option was to do a MA in fashion in my favourite city!
Estuve indagando entre las opciones y el MA que más se ajustaba a lo que yo quería era en London College of Contemporary Arts y se llama Fashion Retail and Luxury Management. No se trata de diseño, ni patronaje, ni nada por el estilo, es sobre la moda como un negocio, visto desde diferentes perspectivas. Es un plan muy completo, ya que incluye una parte más práctica con Marketing, Branding, Visual Merchandising, Sostenibilidad, Métodos de Investigación... y otra, más teórica, mi parte favorita: Historia de la Moda.
I searched among the options and the most suitable MA for me was at London College of Contemporary Arts and it's in Fashion Retail and Luxury Management. It's about fashion as a business from different perspectives. It's a quite complete studies plan because it has a practical approach with Marketing, Branding, Visual Merchandising, Sustainability, Research Methods... and, my favourite, the theoretical approach: History of Fashion.
En la facultad, también se imparten otros Másters y Grados como diseño o fotografía, se organizan charlas con diferentes expertos de la industria, exposiciones de los alumnos y tenemos nuestra propia revista. Pero lo mejor es que el campus está en pleno centro de Londres!
At the College, there are more MA and BA courses as design and photography, also industry experts come to give us talks, students' exhibitions and we have our own magazine and women dresses. But the best of all is that the campus is in the heart of London!
